Karlsruhe Trade Fair and Exhibition Centre
KMK - Karlsruher Messe- und Kongress-GmbH is an experienced partner for trade fairs, conferences and conventions, events, service, and tourism. With over 170 employees and approximately 600 events per year, KMK offers the very best one-stop service for event organisers, exhibitors, and visitors: from hall reservation, event consultation, and hotel and travel bookings to supporting programmes.
The Congress Centre is located right in the heart of Karlsruhe on Festplatz (Festival Square). Five events halls and buildings are equipped with a total of 17,000 seats, distributed amongst more than 50 rooms and halls. The largest of these can accommodate up to 5000 people (standing). 22,500 m2 of exhibition space (gross) and 10,000 m2 of open-air grounds can be used individually or linked to form a perfect combination.
More facilities for conferences and conventions are offered by the Karlsruhe Trade Fair and Exhibition Centre just outside the city gates. Here, 13 seminar and conference rooms are available in the trade fair's Conference Centre for up to 1500 people. Fitted with the very latest presentation and communication technology, rooms are available for use by 30 to 500 people. The close links to the four halls of the Karlsruhe Trade Fair and Exhibition Centre, the restaurant, and to the Press Centre make the facilities ideal for conferences with accompanying trade fairs, seminars, or workshops.
The Karlsruhe Trade Fair and Exhibition Centre contains four column-free, ground-level exhibition halls with an area of 12,500 m2 each and 10,000 m2 of open-air exhibition grounds. One of the four halls is the multi-purpose "dm arena", which can be transformed quickly for a wide range of different uses. This particular hall can accommodate up to 14,000 standing visitors.
Sporting highlights are held in the "Europahalle", the venue for international track and field athletics events and many world championships. Since its opening, the sport arena, with its lively architecture, has brilliantly met the challenge in technical as well as organisational terms as host to a multitude of international sporting events.
The full-range services offered by the KMK (Tourism division) in the whole of the incoming segment cover central organisation of hotel-accommodation bookings, design and execution of guided city tours, excursions, supporting programmes and evening events, plus the handling of all types of arrival, departure, and transfer arrangements.
