Trade associations support the “recycling aktiv” and “TiefbauLive” double trade fair

The Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (VDMA) has signed a partnership contract with Karlsruher Messe- und Kongress-GmbH (KMK), which organizes the “recycling aktiv” and “TiefbauLive” double trade fair that will take place for the first time on the Karlsruhe trade fair campus from 27 to 29 April 2017. The signing of this contract means that expert support will be provided to the professional trade show in Karlsruhe by the VDMA, which represents more than 3,000 mostly midsized businesses in the capital goods industry and ranks among Europe’s largest industrial associations.

Naemi Denz, managing director VDMA waste treatment and recycling technology, comments on the importance of the trade fair and its new location: “recycling aktiv is unique thanks to its demo character. Manufacturers of treatment technology can transform each customer into an eyewitness of their machinery’s high performance. Purchasers can reach out and touch the machinery on a perfectly equipped trade fair campus in Karlsruhe.”

Close cooperation with VDBUM

The German Association of the Building Industry, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering (VDBUM) offers its members a platform for comprehensive exchange of experiences among manufacturers, users and dealers of machines and motor vehicles. The association serves as a networking and information forum, assists its members with issues related to occupational safety and legal protection, and represents its members’ interests on the national and international level. VDBUM and KMK will cooperate closely as they again share responsibility for the specialized organization, configuration and realization of the “Exemplary Construction Site” action area at recycling aktiv and TiefbauLive, where innovative machinery for road and canal construction will be demonstrated.

“As in past years, so too in 2017, VDBUM will again intensively support the recyling aktiv and TiefbauLive double trade fair. We played a significant role in the developmental history of the TiefbauLive demonstration trade fair, which partly owes its very existence to us and our contributions. Our members and partners see a tremendous advantage in the demonstration character of this fair, where visitors can try out machinery, test it, touch it and experience it in action. That’s the purpose of this trade show, which we eagerly await”, says Dieter Schnittjer, managing director and board member of VDBUM Service GmbH.

Collaboration with bvse

The Federal Association for Secondary Raw Materials and Waste Management (bvse) has likewise agreed to contribute its expertise to the specialized trade fair. Eric Rehbock, executive director of bvse, emphasizes: “The current situation in the recycling and waste disposal market isn’t easy for companies in this industry. To be competitive now and to remain so in the future, midsized companies especially must be outstandingly well positioned from a technological standpoint. That’s why there’s no way to avoid the necessary investments in facilities, motor vehicles and machinery. As a demonstration trade fair, recycling aktiv provides an excellent overview of the status of the technology and it offers live, practical insights into the performance spectrum of the exhibited recycling facilities and processing machines. These two superlative specialized trade fairs, i.e. recycling aktiv and TiefbauLive, offer unique added value for their visitors.” Some 890 mostly midsized businesses, employing circa 50,000 people, belong to the bvse and help to make it one of the leading umbrella organizations in the midsized secondary raw materials, recycling, and waste disposal industry.

The German Demolition Association (DA), the Federal Association of German Steel Recycling and Disposal Companies (BDSV) and other associations are likewise involved in the strategic configuration of the upcoming trade fair and stand beside Karlsruher Messe- und Kongress-GmbH to provide support in specialized and organizational matters. “We are very pleased that the associations are prepared to provide active support for the recycling aktiv and TiefbauLive double trade fair. Flanked by these renowned organizations, which play major roles in the recycling and civil engineering industries, we’ll surely reach even more decision-makers with our double trade fair”, affirms Claudia Nötzelmann, project director of recycling aktiv and TiefbauLive at KMK. She adds: “Through our close collaboration with these strong partners, I believe that we can cooperatively create new synergies for the upcoming demonstration trade fair and that these synergies will surely be profitable for both the exhibitors and the professional visitors.” (ps)

Anlaufstelle in Pune
