Many have already missed it in the cityscape: the red double-decker bus that takes tourists to the most important sights of the city. Now he is bringing guests back to highlights of the city with the HopOn / HopOff tour, initially with a reduced timetable and strict security requirements.

“In consultation with the operator Willms Touristik, we offer our tours at the beginning Fridays to Sundays at 10, 12: 45 and 15:30", so Susanne Wolf, head of the Tourist Information Karlsruhe: “We have to wait and see how the response is, should we find that there is demand, we will expand our range accordingly."

In addition to the popular city tours with the red double-decker bus, the tasty "Eat the World" tours start again in Durlach, the historic part of Karlsruhe. True to the motto "Support your locals", small, owner-operated restaurants are visited on the culinary-cultural discovery tours and exquisite delicacies are tasted off the usual tourist routes.

Security regulations

To protect participants, numerous safety regulations apply both on board the City Tour Karlsruhe and during the city tours. For example, driving is only possible with a nose protector, the distance rules are guaranteed by blocking certain seats, and grab handles and poles in the vehicle are cleaned regularly. The professional guides will lead smaller groups through the city than before and will be protected by face protection or a mask. The sound is amplified by professional tour guide systems so that the minimum distance is also guaranteed.

Anlaufstelle in Pune
