Motorsports: Two former DTM champions

This year's DTM driver line-up with Gary Paffett and Paul Di Resta

Mercedes-Benz entered seven DTM Mercedes AMG C-Coupés in the DTM th 2014 season. The successor to the AMG Mercedes C-Class, the most successful DTM car in the history of the series, has been revised once again for the 30th anniversary season of the internationally popular touring car series. Apart from former DTM champions Gary Paffett and Paul Di Resta, ex-formula 1 driver Vitaly Petrov lined up in this season’s DTM for the brand with the three-pointed star, along with last year’s Mercedes-Benz DTM drivers – Daniel Juncadella, Christian Vietoris, Pascal Wehrlein and Robert Wickens.

2010 DTM champion Paul Di Resta is returning to the DTM. The Scot lined up again for Mercedes-Benz in the DTM after three Formula 1 seasons with Sahara Force India-Mercedes. Daniel Juncadella will be commencing his second DTM season.

The Spaniard will also be gaining experience as a Formula 1 test driver for Sahara Force India-Mercedes as far as his DTM duties permit. He will take the wheel of the new Petronas Mercedes AMG C-Coupé in the DTM.

Sporting Career: Paul Di Resta, born 16th April 1986 in Scotland: "I think that the DTM is a great series, especially for the fans. They get closer to the drivers and the action than is the case in Formula 1, for example, and are really a part of it. I’m returning to an environment that I already know well from the past, which is important, because the team knows what I can do and I know what they can achieve. We always worked very well together in the past and now I’m proud to be part of the DTM again."
