Training for “Welcome Guides”
Committed citizens are trained to be companions for international specialists
In cooperation with the “Rotary Club Karlsruhe-Fächerstadt”, the “Welcome Center” of the Karlsruhe Technology Region (TRK) trains volunteers who will support international specialists and students for a limited period of time to help them settle in the Karlsruhe region to facilitate.

The future “Welcome Guides” prepare for their voluntary work in intensive group work and receive tailor-made training in intercultural communication.
What does a “Welcome Guide” do? He makes it easier for international specialists and students to get started and settle in a maybe unfamiliar environment, shares their own experiences, gives impulses for new contacts, shows opportunities for all family members, helps new fellow citizens to quickly feel at home, promotes the welcoming culture in the technology region.
