Virtual Network Meeting for International Professionals

In these special times, the Welcome Center of the Karlsruhe Technology Region is also inviting people to online meetings, an "International Come Together Online" (ICTO). These popular events, which normally take place in Karlsruhe and Bruchsal in monthly rotation, were currently offered via video conferences in both languages – as in June.

The goal was to provide information and share ideas. The virtual network meeting also offered international professionals, students and other interested persons an ideal opportunity to make valuable contacts and to exchange ideas with like-minded people. The variety of themes remained large: Questions that arise in everyday life, that concern working in Germany and in the Karlsruhe Technology Region, as well as topics related to leisure time could be discussed.

“A major gain that our new International Come Together Online format offers is the participation of international specialists and cooperation partners who live outside the Karlsruhe Technology Region", says Petra Bender, Head of Welcome Center: "Whether in Frankfurt, Pune, Tehran or in Brazil."

The Welcome Center is a service provided by Technologie Region Karlsruhe, which is funded by the Ministry of Economics, Labour and Housing of Baden-Württemberg. As a central contact point, it advises international specialists and young professionals who want to work and live in the Technology Region, as well as regional companies interested in international specialists. The Welcome Center acts as a guide and interface and works closely with many local, regional and international players – such as the “India Board Karlsruhe”, www.welcome.trk.de
