Strengthening the Partnership with India

Goal-oriented cooperation is a foundation for success

Successful delegation: whether political talks in Delhi, dialogue with Kunal Kumar, head of the “Smart City Initiative” of the Indian government, who has had excellent contacts with Karlsruhe for a long time, deepening contacts with the "Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture" (MCCIA) , Exchange with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IMC) in Mumbai, cooperation with Nagpur or cultural exchange with partners: Karlsruhe has further strengthened its relations with India.

A large number of starting points, cooperations and projects have arisen since the first loose contacts between Karlsruhe and India in 2004. In the beginning it was rather a tourist approach, but in the following years other thematic fields were added, whether from business, science, education or culture.

The manifold activities are interlinked through lived cooperative partnerships. With Maharashtra there is also a state partnership with Baden-Württemberg since five years; the cooperation between Karlsruhe and Pune has been one of the pioneers!

Anlaufstelle in Pune
