Modern Filtration in the Process Industry
1st International Filtration Workshop in Mumbai, India
BOKELA in cooperation with the „World Forum for Crystallization, Filtration and Drying“ (WFCFD) and the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) at the university of Mumbai, initiated a 3-day training course “Modern Filtration in the Process Industry”. BOKELA has been successfully organizing similar events in Germany, Australia and Brazil since many years and has received positive feedback from experts of the chemical, food and pharmaceutical industry as well as raw material and mining industry.
In the world of process technology BOKELA is known as Center of Excellence for solid/liquid separation.
Renowned experts from industry, research and academia have contributed their valuable expertise with regards to form and content of this workshop and will share their valuable knowledge as speakers during this 3-day event in Mumbai, India:
Dr. Harald Anlauf, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, Prof. B.N. Thorat, Institute of Chemical Technology, India, Prof. Kuo Jen Hwang, Taiwan, Ulrich Esser, Bayer Technology Services, Germany, Dr. Karsten Keller, Dupont, USA, Kishor Makvana, Rotofilt India, India, Dr. Reinhard Bott, BOKELA GmbH, Germany, Dr. Thomas Langeloh, BOKELA GmbH, Germany
Filtration plays a fundamental role in the separation of solids and liquids in the chemical, food and pharmaceutical process industry. In many processes, continuous filters are used as standard eqiupment. In the day-to-day practice, however, there is still a big lack of unterstanding with regards to the strong inter-relation between product, process and filter apparatus. Since decades, drum filters, belt filters, pan filters and disc filters have been widely spread in the process industry and had a strong influence on product quality, process profitability and environmental balance of production processes.
This workshop imparts a sound and practice-oriented knowledge on filtration with emphasis on cake forming filtration with rotary filters such as drum, disc, pan and belt filters and with emphasis on membrane filtration. Lessons will be complemented by practical tests.
Information: The workshop will take place from February, 27, till March, 1, in the Auditorium of the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) in Mumbai.
