The app, first launched in 2012, has enhanced features for the 2014 event. It’s a convenient and easy to use utility app for event registration, information, directions, support, and feedback. IGCC brings Germany’s well known Oktoberfest to Pune for the sixth time next month. It will be held between Oct 10 – 12, at the Turf Club, Pune, and Extentia is an event partner. Oktoberfest is a 16-day festival held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, running from late September to the first weekend in October. It is one of the most famous events in Germany and is the world’s largest fair, with more than 5 million people attending every year. The Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture, having been held since 1810. Other cities across the world also hold Oktoberfest celebrations, modeled after the Munich event.

Users are also able to request free Uber ride codes through the Pune Oktoberfest mobile application. These can be used for free rides to and from the event – a convenient way to avoid parking problems common at the venue, and for safe driving.
