"India Summer Days" Online for the First Time
Digital formats under the umbrella brand # indiasummerdays2020
India in all its colors: This is how the "India Summer Days" in Karlsruhe have presented themselves since their premiere in 2017 and have quickly developed into one of the largest India festivals in Germany. Karlsruhe celebrates with the "India Summer Days", organized by "Karlsruhe Marketing und Event", the strong German-Indian partnership between Baden-Württemberg and Maharashtra in the areas of business and culture.

In turbulent times like the one we are currently experiencing, social cohesion across national borders is more important than ever. Even if the "India Summer Days" cannot take place as planned as part of the pre-festival week of South Germany's largest family festival Das Fest, the India lover does not have to do without experiencing a piece of Indian culture.
From 17 to 19 July 2020, numerous project partners will present themselves online, relocate their offer as a digital event to the virtual space - to watch and actively participate. "The partnership between Baden-Württemberg and Maharashtra, as well as Karlsruhe and Pune, has its culmination every year through the India Summer Days," says Dr. Frank Mentrup, Mayor of the City of Karlsruhe and Chairman of the “India Board Karlsruhe”: “I am delighted that this year we will at least have a virtual exchange with the online edition. Friendships prove themselves in difficult times. "

In addition to lectures and workshops on the popular topics of yoga and Ayurveda by the long-time partner "Santulan Ayurveda" under Shreeguru Dr. Balaji També, enrich dance and music performances, including "D4Dance" and "Revathi Dance", which present the most diverse dances from Bharatanatyam to Bollywood, art and cooking workshops as well as a virtual museum tour or presentations of the Goethe Institute in Pune .
