Good Cooperation between the States

Karlsruhe/Pune & Baden-Württemberg/Maharashtra

A pillar of the good cooperation between the states of Baden-Württemberg and Maharashtra are the “India Summer Days” in Karlsruhe, which have taken place annually since its successful premiere 2017 (around 15,000 visitors).

The economic cooperation between Karlsruhe and Pune, which has existed for many years, will be further strengthened and expanded to the cultural field.

This increasing importance is also expressed by the growing interest: In addition to the mostly economic and political delegations, a delegation in February 2020 with focus on "Cultural Cooperation", headed by State Secretary Petra Olschowski from the Ministry of Science, Research and Arts, traveled to India. The topics were media, film, music and dance – an expression of the increasing relevance of cooperation on a cultural level.

For "Karlsruhe Marketing und Event", in addition to maintaining contacts and visiting partners, the delegation is important to making new contacts, having discussions and attracting further cultural partner projects between Pune, Mumbai and Karlsruhe. The close partnership between Baden-Württemberg and Maharashtra also includes the promotion of the "India Summer Days" on site – also at the "Stuttgart meets Mumbai" Wine Festival, organized by Honorary Consul Andreas Lapp.

Anlaufstelle in Pune
